Two Ohio State student calendar models will be spending the next few days in Chicago for their appearance on The Jenny Jones Show.

John Waterson, a junior history major, and Jeff Wright, a senior marketing major, were contacted by the nationally-televised program Sunday night and were asked to tape a double episode of the show Tuesday evening.

"It was unreal," Waterson said.

Wright thought somebody had pulled a practical joke.

Apparently, the "Jenny Jones Show" had learned of the two students from a nationally-distributed calendar they had both appeared in called Campus Men® .

The calendar showcases male OSU students. Waterson and Wright were chosen from the 2000 calendar collection.

According to Waterson, the theme of the shows will revolve around women who believe that their boyfriends are cheating on them and who contend that they deserve better treatment.

The alleged cheaters will take a polygraph test on the first episode of the show. That evening the unhappy girlfriends will have blind dates with Waterson and Wright. When the show reconvenes the second day, the polygraph results will be announced and the girlfriends will choose between their boyfriends and the models.

Waterson and Wright are happy to be along for the ride.

"Everyone wants to go," said Waterson, when asked how his friends and family feel about his trip to Chicago. "I'm getting a lot of local support. I think it will be a great time."

Both admit they were flattered and a little nervous when they were first approached about the calendar, but say it has worked out well. Waterson has no complaints about the time he spent in the Florida Keys and South Beach during his photo shoot.

"All I was used to were family pictures and the pictures for sports I was in," he said.

Neither student is worried about giving OSU any bad publicity through an appearance on the show.

"I think this will be good publicity for Ohio State as well as for Kappa Sigma," said Wright, who is a member of the fraternity.

Other students seem to be split about the impressions people may get from students appearing on the show.

"I don't think people will watch the show and say, "'That's what OSU's like?'" said Veronica Barr, a junior business major.

David Kramberg, a senior psychology major, said he thinks that the show is not "very upstanding."

"I think it's bad publicity," he said.

Waterson and Wright will be in Chicago until Thursday but are unaware of when the show will air on television.

The two haven't made any plans to pursue careers in modeling so far. Waterson is focusing on his honors thesis in history and Wright is dedicated to completing his marketing degree.

"Right now I'm just trying to get through school," Wright said.

ShootPrep

After working with thousands of new models and college students, we know the concerns, issues and questions many new models have before their first photo shoot. It is normal for even the most macho guy to be nervous prior to his first shoot. We compiled all this training info into “ShootPrep” – our dedicated site for training models with whom we work.

Our photographer uses ShootPrep.com to train new models before their photo sessions.
