Campus Men often attracts the attention of the news media. Reporters contact us, ask to interview our students, and we choose who to send to the news interview.
Previous college guys have been interviewed for
and have appeared as guests on:
Radio morning shows and talk shows
Hometown Media
Local newspapers, and radio and TV news stations often report on guys in their city who appear in a calendar. If students give us the names of newspaper and TV stations in their hometown, we will send news releases to them.
Media Training
We train students on how to be interviewed by the media. Many students get nervous when faced with an interview. Because they are nervous, they give answers that the reporter cannot use such as, "it was nice" or "it was fun." The key is to think of facts that people watching the newscast will find interesting and say these facts in soundbites. These are also called "one-liners."
Who We Choose For Interviews
Although you will always be considered for interviews conducted by media in your hometown, we only choose students for interviews on campus who are able to answer questions in soundbites. If you are only able to say terse and boring answers such as "it was nice" or "it was fun," in response to a reporter's question, we will not select you for interviews!
Always wear your Campus Men t-shirt to interviews. Please also be aware that reporters give little advance notice before interviews.
Use Interviews to Promote Yourself
People see you on the news and want to buy a calendar. This is why you want to mention during your interview for people to go to your CampusMen.com page. They can buy a calendar from you on your page (To earn the money, you must ship the calendar. We do not ship your calendars for you.)
