News Transcript
(This is an unedited, uncorrected transcript):
Reporter: They walk The Ohio State campus dressed like all other students. These buckeyes are known for being "buck naked". They are part of the campus men's calendar, and all four of these studs are from northeast Ohio.
Brian Santin: My name is Brian Santin, I'm from Solon Ohio.
John Waterson: Hi, I'm John Waterson, I'm from Hudson Ohio and this is my third year at Ohio State.
Vince Meno: My name is Vince Meno, I'm a sophomore at Ohio State University.
Jay Downing: I'm Jay Downing, I'm from Strongsville Ohio.
Reporter: Mr. August graduated from St. Eds.
Jay Downing: It was weird for me at first, I didn't plan on taking a picture with my rear end hanging out. I've had some comments made about having a plumber's profile.
Reporter: Mr. January (Vince) is covered only by a strategically placed stuffed animal.
Vince Meno: It's my ex-girlfriend's teddy bear, but she didn't really want it back after...because it's not the same anymore.
Reporter: They're not professional models just average guys with nice bods. And like female models, they want to be respected for more than their good looks.
Brian Santin: I happen to be running for Vice President for the second largest campus in the Nation.
Reporter: But there is a difference they say, of how men and women treat pin-ups.
Vince Meno: Women say hey, I seen you in the calendar, they are more polite. Men would say I saw you doing the hole bubble thing not as polite.
Reporter: I' m Kathy Kronenberger, Channel 8 News.
Anchor: Keep in mind that the calendar is not endorsed by The Ohio State University.
