Pleasant grad makes pin-up calendar
Pleasant High School graduate Todd Leibold, might become much more recognizable around Marion.
Leibold, who graduated in 1987, is currently a junior at The Ohio State University in Columbus, but is also known as Mr. April in "Campus Men® in Key West" Calendar. Leibold is shown in Key West, Florida, in a back profile wet T-shirt and trunks shot.
"My friends always razz me, they say for anybody to recognize me I'll have to look over my shoulder, but quite a few people are beginning to recognize me."
Leibold said he got to pick his favorite photo. The former Spartan wrestler and baseball player said he never imagined he'd be part of a project like the calendar. "I never picutred myself in that position," he said. "Actually, that's part of the reason I did it. I was hoping it would give me more self-confidence and I think it's doing its job."
Publisher Sean Ashbrook recruited him for the calendar last year as Leibold walked down High Street in Columbus. Ashbrook said this year's male calendar is of an unprecedented racy nature. Todd's parents, James and Sheila Leibold, are selling copies.
