Entrepreneur Idea: Publish a Pinup Calendar of College Students

How To Publish a Calendar

You can publish your own Campus Men Calendar at your college with the help of the owners for the Campus Men brand.

Campus Men is based in Los Angeles, but needs people located at universities in cities through the US to organize calendars featuring photo of students enrolled at their university. You will be locating students to apply to be considered to appear in a calendar titled "Campus Men - featuring students enrolled at (your university's name)."

You Find Students to Appear in a Campus Men Calendar at Your University

We supply you with nifty business cards, which you use to comb your campus, to invite college guys to apply. You walk up to a guy, say you are part of CampusMen.com and are organizing the Campus Men calendar, and then you direct them to go to CampusMen.com to fill out an application. This requires students who are highly organized and personable - you must be able to walk up to strangers and invite them to apply through the application process on CampusMen.com.

Where you will locate students

  • Your university's "quad" or common grassy area
  • Tanning salons
  • Greek Row
  • Campus-area Grocery stores
  • Dorms (residence halls) and dining commons.
  • Coffee Houses
  • After Large Classrooms let out
  • Popular campus bars with outdoor areas
  • Gyms (on-campus and off-campus)
  • Large Spring semester parties
  • Locations outdoors where students tan
  • Anywhere where many students gather en masse
  • House Parties
  • Night clubs - (Students often will not take you seriously if you stop them at a club)

You Need to Find Many Students

The catch: You don't need locate only 12 students. We are experts at recruiting and know that we need a large number of students to apply before we can select the final 12. Sometimes we recruit 60, 100 or even 500 students to get down to the final 12. You are not guaranteeing students a spot in a calendar when you locate them. There is a selection process after a student applies - which you will be a part.

Other Duties

Sometimes, we will need you to post promotional posters on your campus. Unfortunately, this must be done during the very early morning, so nobody wants to do this, but it must be done 3-5 times per year.

What You Collect From Each Applicant

Each week, we will send you a list of students who applied from your university.

We don't select students only based on photos. We select based on personality. One student who doesn't have the largest muscles may get chosen if he has an over the top personality. So, video interviews are important! We require a simple, short video interview from each guy.

Since we each applicant you find a promotional page on CampusMen.com that includes a short bio and a video interview, you encourage applicants to make a video bio for us. (Some of the best looking students are very busy and need reminded to get the stuff to us.)

You must collect proof that these students are enrolled students.

How Campus Men Supports Your Efforts

  • Full-color Campus Men business cards (with your first name and contact information listed) and actual copies of a previous Campus Men calendar you give to each student

  • We give you a "yourfirstname@CampusMen.com" email address which you use to communicate with guys you find.

  • We customize an entire area of CampusMen.com for your university

After you show that you are able to locate students, we may supply you with posters to display on campus, and other promotional materials based on your university's unique needs.

We Interview Applicants Face-to-Face

After you locate a large number of students, we schedule a weekend to visit your campus to professionally photograph each applicant and work with you in selecting the 12 students to appear in the calendar.

How to Become an Organizer

Email us to explain in length why we should consider trusting our brand name with you. Explain how many students you can recruit and where and when you will go to recruit these students. We will contact you to set up a phone interview at your convenience.
